We are nearly i week in to having our new puppy, a chocolate lab named Sadie. ❤️

She's just gorgeous and so sugariness and fun. She loves sitting in our laps and snuggling, chasing balls and tugging on ropes, but also has those sharp puppy teeth so beware!

While she does sleep a lot during the 24-hour interval, we as well get in lots of play time in the afternoons and evenings. Thankfully, she loves her crate so far, and nosotros seem to have figured out her nighttime routine to get her exterior in time to foreclose accidents. Though I'll be glad when we motion past that phase and I can slumber through the dark once more…

Anyway, it's been a fun calendar week and a whirlwind of getting her adjusted. (Nosotros too have a 12 1/2 year old chocolate lab. She doesn't know quite what to retrieve of the puppy, other than she tries to mostly avert her – ha!)

But let's move along to the food.

Thanksgiving leftovers are kinda my jam.

I go about as excited for them as I do the actual primary repast. Is that foreign? Anyone else feel the same fashion?

Thanksgiving leftovers breakfast hash is possibly my very favorite. It uses leftover turkey, dressing, veggies and gravy and is topped with a fried egg. Seriously delicious.

My become-to dejeuner is a leftover Thanksgiving turkey sandwich with cream cheese, cranberry sauce, greens and ruddy onion. Swoon!

I besides make turkey tostadas, turkey and black bean quesadillas and turkey spinach and mushroom melts for a quick luncheon or dinner in the days after Thanksgiving.

Leftover turkey stir fry is full of turkey pieces and tons of colorful veggies. Nosotros've got broccoli, red pepper, snowfall peas and carrots. And it all gets coated in a delicious stir fry sauce (we're going shop-bought and keeping it like shooting fish in a barrel!)

Considering our turkey is already cooked, we're just getting our veggies dainty and tender, mixing in the turkey and sauce, and bam – dinner is washed!

Plus, I love that a stir fry gets me tons of veggies, particularly later on the heavy meal we've had, and simply feels fresh and light.

Notes on making leftover turkey stir fry:

  • Turkey: The turkey for this recipe needs to be cooked, so please plan appropriately. (The idea is that this is an like shooting fish in a barrel recipe for leftover turkey from Thanksgiving or the holidays, only I just wanted to point out that information technology needs to be already cooked and ready to employ.)
  • Vegetables: Fresh vegetables are great here, but you could substitute a purse of frozen mixed veggies if that's what you lot take on hand. Just follow the instructions on the package for how long to cook them.
  • Veggie swaps: Y'all can bandy in any other favorite stir fry veggies here, too. Mushrooms would be great, every bit would some shredded broccoli slaw.
  • Stir fry sauce: I'm keeping it easy and using a store-bought stir fry sauce. Firm of Tsang is my favorite. You could besides brand your own sauce if you adopt.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil

  • Steamed brown or white rice

Instructions
